Police have released shocking video depicting a driver performing risky drifting maneuvers around a traffic circle during an illegal car meet, placing watching crowds at significant danger of harm.

An individual aged 23 from Southampton received a jail term of 27 weeks, suspended for one year, after admitting to dangerous driving.
In addition, the court imposed a one-year license suspension and mandated unpaid work along with a behavioral course.

According to authorities, the recording was captured at an unauthorized automobile gathering in Portsmouth on 28 December 2024, featuring the individual driving a distinctive colored vehicle.
“This footage demonstrates the alarming incident when a reckless motorist skidded on a roundabout at an unauthorized vehicle event, as spectators looked on ignoring the danger of serious injury.”

Officials reported that over 200 offences related to unauthorized vehicle events in the region have been handled in approximately 12 months.

He added: “They are not only a total disturbance, but they also place participants and uninvolved individuals at risk of severe harm.”
