I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
