"That's a little different but then, I enjoy running and just go inside - I'm not defending that much," he said.

"I tell my centre-back 'I'm not hanging back' and that I'm just going to continue running.

"The movement is what I'm after. It's good fun."

Along with Cisse's six goals on his first game, Stephen Ireland has netted 8 in three games for the side, while Boyd scored 5 on his debut match and Joleon Lescott, a defender by trade, notched a hat-trick in one match up front.

Paul Barrow, thirty-eight, who plays on the flank for Collegiate OB, came up against former Latics defender Figueroa on the weekend - and had to explain his nine-year-old son who Heskey was.

Figueroa has appeared at 2 World Cups for his country, in addition to playing in over 200 top-flight matches.

"It was going round like wildfire they had these ex-Premier League players," said Barrow.

"I think I was a little awestruck playing against him to be honest.

"Also Heskey came on and he's has 60-odd England appearances.

"We competed well for a solid 20 minutes but then we had a man dismissed and it was tough.

"We literally have not ceased talking about it - I was phoning my mother and brother on the way home.

"The opponents were all friendly, shaking our hands after the game - it was like playing a bunch of regular fellas.

"Now we are eager for the second match."
